The other day I was going through yet another box of pictures that I have sorting and selecting some to use in scrap booking, when I came across a ziplock full of some pictures from my younger years. I know you would want me to share these with you!
These pictures seem to be circa 1980 ish because I seem to be wearing at least an engagement ring. And I don't seem to be pregnant which was 1984. Eh, I am not sure. I am thinking I was 18 or so.
Here is a picture of my very first boyfriend, Scott.
He took me on my very first date to the Lazarium at Griffith Observatory on my 16th Birthday!
He gave me my very first kiss.
He took me to prom. The pictures from Prom were so bad he wouldn't give them to me.
He ended up being the best man at my wedding.
Ahhh Scott......
This is a picture of me and my ex-hub, Jimmy. Not James or Jim-- it was legally Jimmy. This is relevant later in this post. Look at how wild my hair was! This was in the days before flat irons and smoothing hair care products and Frizzease! Of course, that kind of hair was pathetically un-stylish. But you gotta know those glasses were Rad!
I know most of you have never seen me with a boy so this is proof that I really was married at one time! And he sure looks like he is happy I am hanging all over him, doesn't he? You gotta know he was worried about getting cooties.
I remember that sweater he has on... it was so soft... It was one of those chenille types, remember?
Ahhhhh Ex Hub......
Now... for those of you who LAUGHED at me for pointing out that Jon Heder in Blades of Glory (character was JIMMY. See, it is relevant!!) looked like my ex-hub's twin separated at birth and that feathered back hair was popular in the 80's, I give you this side by side comparison.
Here is another side by side comparison of my friend Wayne from around the same time and today. He is the same age as I so he is probably 18 also though he looks about 12. Isn't it completely unbelievable how men look better with age and women just look OLD????
I hate him....
No, of course I don't hate him.... he is one of my best friends! And, to be fair, I think it was hard on him looking so young back in the day....... There were also pictures of us dressed up in costumes for a Christmas musical..... but that is for another day.....

Definite twin material. Loved that movie. Those pics make we want to do the bump!
I can vouch for the authenticity of all these pictures and hairstyles. I was an eye witness.
