'Not Me Monday' 3-9-09 Edition

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. Yeah, mine are pretty epic, but sometimes other people have good blogs too-- so click here to go to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I did not spend most of my Econ class wishing I could use telekinesis to hurl a giant spitwad at a group of infants sitting in the back corner who giggled and played around the entire 3 hour long lecture. Furthermore, I did not fantasize about having pyro-kenesis and being able to set their backpacks on fire with the power of my mind! I did not wish I could give them an old lady glare but decide not to because my car was parked so far out in the parking lot that I couldn't outrun them. I was not distracted from my lecture by thoughts of calling all their hard working parents and telling them not to bother spending another penny on their 'education' but to go on a cruise or get a tattoo or redecorate their bathroom or some other good use for it. I did not try to dispense with my anger by writing out a Not Me Post about it. I especially did not send up a quick prayer of forgivness for my un-loving thoughts and thanks that no one can read my mind.

On Saturday, when I should have been doing housework or homework or work-work, you know I did not drive to Santa Monica so my daughter and her friend could try to stalk their favorite singing group. You should not look forward to an indepth blog about this in the near future. And I would not post a picture of what the pier looked like on Saturday because I would not want all of you in the Pacific Northwest, East Coast or the Frozen Tundra to feel jealous of how awesome living in Southern California is!

One more really, truly important thing: Please pray for Abby (the little girl with leukemia)
click here for her family's blog.

You should enjoy where you live, I however, live in the Frozen Tundra and today we were graced with 4 inches of new snow! I did not HATE shoveling this morning, so I could get the kids to school!

i live in the beautiful balmy southeast. and if i was highly allergic, i would wish i was in southern california. but since i'm not, the about to bloom bradford pears don't bother me and i'm more than content to be here in the south. i mean, who wants a beach within an hours distance anyways?
okay, so cal would be pretty much amazing.
great post.
and i would have brought my flame thrower (what i use to light candles with) to school on monday. and i would have had to ask for forgiveness for setting backpacks on fire.
you show much more restraint that i would!

The weather was so nice in NorCal that I did not plant "permanent" plants in my patio planters so that I wouldn't have to trudge water out to them every day during the spring and summer. And every day like the last two makes me remember those 4 months on the frozen tundra and be thankful that I'm back in Cali!

I have sat though MANY classes wishing I had telekinesis and pyro-kenesis I am ashamed to see some of my class mates the same ages as me acting in a horrid manner. If only we could call their parents... I am so totally NOT jealous of you right now!

LeAnn (and Angel),
I have TAUGHT many classes wishing I had telekinesis and pyro-kenesis - oh, the things I would do to [some of] my students! Maybe a stun gun too? hhmm... I DO use the "hairy eyeball" (think Alice's Restaurant-do you know it?) on a regular basis. Now that I am getting up there in years, I suppose I could also call it the "Old Lady Glare". ---- of course I am jealous (it snowed ice yesterday) but not jealous enough to deal with earthquakes. ~ Becky
