It's a keychain that holds a key inside of it? Like, maybe if you want to take your house key but don't want anyone to know you have a key? Now that I type it, it sounds ridiculous. But that's my guess. Have a great day, all!

It's a cuticle tool. Last guess: it's a tool for opening the coil part of the key chain so that you don't break a nail trying to get keys on it.
