HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

As we bid 2008 a fond farewell (or a swift kick to the behind) I have a few thoughts to share.
Someday I may figure out all this technology and be able to do something really cool but that is a challenge for the future for sure! I wanted to post a link for a song that has been stuck in my head all day long today that I think really sums up where my heart is at just now. It is by one of my favorite groups, Third Day. And it is sung by the uber cute Mac Powell (not lusting-- NOT) (FINE, you look his picture up and see if you don't agree!!)
Anyhow..........

When the rain comes it seems that everyone has gone away
When the night falls you wonder if you shouldn't find someplace
To run and hide, escape the pain
But hiding is such a lonely thing to do

I can't stop the rain from falling down on you again
I can't stop the rain, but I can hold you until it goes away

When the rain comes you bring on all the things that you have done
When the storm fades you know the rain must fall on everyone
So rest awhile, it'll be alright. No one loves you like I do

I can't stop the rain from falling down on you again
I can't stop the rain, but I can hold you until it goes away

Like most contemporary Christian songs the lyrics apply not only to our relationship with God as our Father and friend and partner but also to our own relationships with each other. And so here are my hopes and prayers for you all- that 2009 has a little less rain fall and a whole lot more sunshine....but when the storms do come along as they are likely to do, that we can all be there for each other. Be better friends, better sisters and brothers, better daughters. That we show love and encouragement in many different ways and remember to do so at every opportunity. That we are kind to each other, lift each other up in prayer, make each other laugh, give big hugs when we need to cry.

Loves and Hugs to you all!

It is almost 9:00pm so the ball is about to drop in New York-- that is close enough for me!

HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
